How to choose the model of water pump in fountain equipment?
1、 The fountain equipment is combined with the hydraulic calculation results of the fountain, and then the pump type is determined. By reading the nameplate, one can have a basic understanding of the specifications and main performance of the water pump
1. Pump model: The model of the water supply pump is compiled according to flow rate, head, size, etc., and there are two types: old and new;
2. Pump flow rate: refers to the water output of the pump per unit time, expressed in units of or;
3. Pump head: refers to the total lifting height of the water pump. Allow suction to reach a high vacuum level. This is a safe suction height determined through experiments to prevent cavitation during the operation of the water pump, with a safety distance of 0.3m left. This indicator indicates the suction capacity of the water pump and is the basis for the installation height of the water pump.
2、 The selection of pump type is based on two main factors: flow rate and head. The method is as follows: determine the flow rate. Calculate the total flow based on the hydraulic system of the fountain. Determine the lift. Calculate the total head based on the hydraulic system of the fountain.
Selecting a water pump: The selection of a water pump should be based on the determined total flow rate and total head, and can be selected by checking the water pump nameplate. When the fountain equipment requires two or more water pumps to lift water (note: if the water pumps are connected in parallel, the flow rate increases and the pressure remains unchanged; if the water pumps are connected in series, the flow rate remains unchanged and the pressure increases), calculate the flow rate of each water pump by dividing the total flow rate by the number of water pumps, and then use the water pump performance table to select the pump. When checking the table, if both types of water pumps are applicable, priority should be given to choosing the model with lower power, higher efficiency, smaller impeller, and lighter weight.
